About the event
On Wednesday 7th June our close friend Ed Smith will set off on his first of 5 consecutive Ironman length triathlon events(2.4mile swim, 112mile cycle, 26.2mile run) in 5 consecutive days, raising money for Daisy’s Dream who support children and young people who have lost a loved one.
Ed will be completing loops (approx 25-mile bike and 6-mile runs) around West Berkshire and using @tearoomsaldermaston as a base so come cycle or run a loop then treat yourself to coffee and cake afterwards. This equates to 5 Ironmen length triathlons in 5 consecutive days for Daisy’s Dream A challenge inspired by Ed’s late wife, Anna, who died from bowel cancer in 2018 when their little girl, Alba, was only 18 months old.
